The fact that this has been an issue for much longer than just the last few years is interesting in that it may point to a larger problem for the genre. The problem arises when said shortcuts demoralize players on the competitive side of the divide as making things too easy to win takes away from their significance. ![]() This simplification process is something we've been talking about in more modern times as developers from all over the FGC have been implementing shortcuts of various sorts to try to draw newer players in.
